PTO, medical, 401(k) About the Opportunity Tiello is partnered with a growing commercial roofing contractor seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety and compliance across commercial re-roofing and service projects throughout Southern California. 80% of projects are LA/OC based with occasional travel into San Diego County This is a hands-on role responsible for OSHA/Cal-OSHA compliance, jobsite inspections, safety training, incident prevention, and developing a strong safety culture across field operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee OSHA/Cal-OSHA compliance across multiple commercial roofing jobsites. Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Lead fall protection, ladder, scaffold, lift, PPE, and equipment safety programs. Develop and deliver safety training and toolbox talks. Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Maintain safety policies, training records, inspections, and OSHA reporting. Coordinate workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes. Partner with Superintendents, Foremen, and senior leadership to improve safety performance. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance. Qualifications 5+ years of construction safety experience ; commercial roofing strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations . Experience with jobsite audits, safety training, and incident prevention. Strong leadership and communication skills. Bilingual Spanish/EnglishREQUIRED.
CHST, CSP, or equivalent certification preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between jobsites.Why Join:
