- Full-time Company Summary We're located in Barstow, CA and supply rock and sand products to customers throughout the High Desert.
MSHA/OSHA
regulations, Mojave Air District, EPA, California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), First Aid, Hazardous Waste, etc. Develop and enforce the site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP). Lead morning tailgate safety meetings and stretching exercises. Stay updated with changes from various regulatory agencies such as MSHA, OSHA, Mojave Air District, EPA, CDFW, etc. Perform daily safety and health inspections and document the findings. Maintain site safety records, including inspection logs, near-miss reports, safety and health deficiency tracker, and daily production reports. Keep relevant site safety reference material readily available on the job site. Conduct weekly safety meetings. Other duties as assigned Qualification & Experience High School Diploma At least 5 years' experience in safety and environmental management within a mining/quarry setting Maintain annual safety training on a variety of topics including (but not limited to)MSHA/OSHA
Mojave Air District EPA California Department of Fish and Wildlife Experience creating training materials for the previously mentioned regulatory agencies (see list above) as well as on topics such as First Aid, Emergency Response, Hazardous Waste, and other topics as necessary Creating and maintaining safety documentation and keeping accurate records Proven experience conducting safety audits/inspections/investigations to ensure that potential issues and any accidents are properly reviewed, documented, and corrected Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and perform work on a computerWhat We Offer Salary:
