Job Description
Position Summary The Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) Supervisor performs safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety program enforcement for Contractor operations. Essential Functions of the Position Attend working groups, safety meetings and councils and participate in and administer safety campaigns, educational material, safety bulletins, and other safety directives as requested by the KO or designee. Ensure SOH plan is enforced. Encourage employees to make oral reports to supervisors as the promptest and effective method of identification, especially for imminent hazards. Develop and maintain SOH program using SOH standards consistent with the most stringent of applicable Federal, State, host country, and any applicable local or installation regulations. The SOH Plan shall address the Contractor's approach to develop and implement systems to effectively identify, evaluate, prevent, and control occupational hazards to prevent employee injuries and illnesses through: management leadership and employee involvement; worksite analysis; hazard prevention and control; and safety and health training meets minimum regulatory requirements. Performs other relevant duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise other staff on-site in daily routine work functions. Physical Demands Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible. Noise level can range from minimal to intense. Minimum Qualifications Experience shall include a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the SOH field within the past five (5) years. Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English. Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Must have strong organizational and group presentation skills. Well-developed multi-tasking and time management skills. Must have computer literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Possess a Valid Drivers' License without special restrictions. Security Requirements Must be a US citizen.
