Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Safety Professional to champion safety initiatives across construction sites and related operations. This role is vital in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and implementing best practices to protect personnel, property, and the environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction safety management, occupational health, and risk mitigation strategies, with a passion for creating secure and compliant work environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety efforts in fast-paced construction settings while making a tangible impact on project success and workforce well-being. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs aligned with construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards. Facilitate safety training and development sessions for employees on topics such as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), first aid, and our company's IIPP (Injury and Illness Prevention Program). Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards related to general construction risks. Lead safety training sessions for construction teams, ensuring all personnel understand OSHA requirements, NFPA standards, and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Manage compliance with OSHA, Workers' Compensation policies, and other regulatory frameworks to maintain legal adherence. Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and project planning. Investigate incidents or near-misses thoroughly; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training logs, incident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation using construction management software. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site safety management or related roles within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, and occupational health best practices. Demonstrated ability to manage risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies. Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate diverse groups of workers on safety procedures. Familiarity with construction management software and compliance management tools. Certifications such as First Aid & CPR, and OSHA 500-Hour training are required. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.

$27.65 - $33.30 per hour
