Job Summary The Site Safety Health Officer is responsible for enforcing the company and project-specific safety plan and all applicable environmental provisions. Duties include conducting weekly tailgate meetings, performing Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), completing daily safety reports, verifying proper PPE use among employees and subcontractors, and accurately recording infractions, accidents, or investigations. This role also communicates the plan of action for medical emergencies to the workforce. Responsibilities Schedule, coordinate, and supervise all safety meetings and inspections. Schedule, coordinate, and supervise all Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA). Ensure construction activities are performed in a safe manner. Implement, monitor, and adjust Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) measures as necessary. Maintain effective working relationships with inspectors, owners, architects, engineers, public agencies, and subcontractors. Maintain organized safety documentation, including the Company Safety Plan, Site-Specific Safety Plan, required safety postings, inspection logs, accident investigations, and disciplinary records. Participate in progress meetings, providing input on Activity Hazard Analyses for upcoming work and potential issues. Assist with coordinating the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to the jobsite. Continually evaluate the safety of the workforce, materials, and equipment on site. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer. Comfortable working in and alongside ongoing operations in a medical construction environment. OSHA 30-Hour Certification (required). CPR Certified (required). Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Project. Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills. Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) experience and training (preferred).

OSHPD / HCAI

experience (preferred). Federal construction experience (preferred). Work Environment and Physical Requirements Frequent travel to job sites, meetings, and government agencies. Exposure to extreme heat and cold, with high noise levels typical of construction environments. Extended periods of sitting while traveling, as well as standing and walking on the jobsite. Frequent climbing of stairs or ladders. Occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying of objects up to 60 pounds. Use of required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, eye and hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, and gloves.

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
