This vital role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel involved in excavation activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction site safety, risk management, and occupational health, with a passion for fostering a safety-first culture. Your leadership will directly contribute to minimizing hazards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe working environment for everyone on site. Duties Develop and enforce excavation safety policies aligned with
OSHA, ANSI
standards, NFPA standards, NEC guidelines, and other relevant construction safety regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards related to excavation activities and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead safety training sessions focused on excavation procedures, electrical safety protocols, occupational health practices, and emergency response procedures such as first aid and CPR. Oversee risk management strategies to mitigate hazards associated with construction workplace safety regulations and occupational health concerns. Collaborate with construction management teams to plan safe excavation operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and construction regulatory requirements. Manage incident investigations related to excavation accidents or near-misses, documenting findings and recommending preventative measures. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation using construction management software. Skills Extensive knowledge of construction site safety regulations including
OSHA, ANSI
standards, NFPA standards, NEC guidelines, and occupational health best practices. Proven experience in construction management with a focus on excavation safety and workplace hazard mitigation. Strong risk management skills with the ability to assess hazards and implement effective control measures. Excellent team leadership capabilities to motivate and educate staff on safety protocols and best practices. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation purposes. Deep understanding of electrical safety procedures specific to construction environments.
