Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SQF Manager to lead and maintain our food safety and quality systems in a cheese manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the SQF Food Safety and Quality System and support ongoing certification. Prepare and coordinate SQF, customer, regulatory, and internal audits . Maintain and update HACCP/Food Safety Plans, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, Preventive Controls, and food safety documentation . Oversee and verify sanitation programs and SSOPs , including cleaning effectiveness, pre-operational inspections, chemical controls, and corrective actions. Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause investigations, and audit findings. Oversee microbiological testing and Environmental Monitoring Programs , review laboratory results, identify trends, and implement corrective actions. Monitor food safety and quality requirements throughout cheese production, sanitation, storage, and handling. Manage allergen control, traceability, mock recalls, product holds, and non-conforming product programs. Investigate customer complaints and food safety or quality deviations. Provide food safety, GMP, sanitation, and SQF training to employees. Work closely with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Management to drive continuous improvement and strengthen food safety culture.
Qualifications:
Experience with SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSMA/Preventive Controls, sanitation programs, and food manufacturing . Knowledge of food microbiology, environmental monitoring, microbiological testing, sanitation verification, and laboratory result interpretation . Experience in dairy or cheese manufacturing preferred . Experience preparing for and participating in SQF or food safety audits. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred , with the ability to communicate and train employees in both languages.
