Full-time, exempt The role You will own the execution of safety across field operations — not just policy, but what actually happens on job sites. This role partners directly with operations leadership to drive accountability, support field teams, and improve safety performance across multiple regions. You'll spend time where it matters most: in the field, influencing real outcomes. Why this role stands out Direct impact on field operations and job site safety High visibility with executive leadership Balance of field presence and leadership influence Opportunity to shape safety execution across a growing company Work across environmental, construction, and consulting projects What you'll own Execution of health & safety programs across all field operations Safety performance and accountability with operations leaders Oversight of incident investigations and corrective actions Consistent implementation of safety standards across regions What you'll do Spend regular time in the field (approximately 1 day per week) supporting job sites Partner with project managers and superintendents to manage risk Lead and support safety inspections, audits, and compliance efforts Review and guide incident investigations and root cause analysis Track and drive closure of corrective actions Support development of Health & Safety Plans (HASPs) and safe work practices Use safety data to identify trends and drive improvements What you'll lead Field Health & Safety Specialists Consistency of safety practices across teams and regions Safety training and development efforts What you bring Must have 8+ years of safety experience in construction, environmental, or oil & gas Experience supporting or leading field-based safety teams Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations Ability to influence operations leaders and drive accountability Experience with incident investigations and safety compliance Willingness to travel ~25% Valid driver's license Nice to have Industrial hygiene experience (air monitoring, exposure assessment) CSP or CIH certification Bachelor's degree in a related field Work environment Mix of office and active job sites Exposure to construction and environmental field conditions Collaboration with operations teams and corporate leadership Schedule Monday-Friday Typical hours: 7:00 AM•4:00 PM Occasional Saturdays based on project needs Benefits Medical, dental, vision 401(k) with 4% match

Required Skills/Abilities:
This position requires the following skills and abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Good communication skills for communicating health and safety information in a field and office environment. Leadership abilities for managing the health and safety team. Proficiency in standard business systems and safety reporting tools. Good written communication skills. Ability to make decisions under pressure. Ability to travel 25% to neighboring states and occasionally cross country. Clean driving history. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret safety data and trends Ability to influence leaders and drive accountability across teams
Work Environment:
Hybrid office and field environment with regular exposure to active construction and environmental job sites.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 p.m. This position requires occasional Saturday work.
Required Education and Experience:
8-12 years' of Health and Safety experience in construction, environmental, or oil & gas industries. Experience supporting or leading field safety teams 2 years of relevant Industrial Hygiene experience conducting air monitoring. A background in training and education. Current 40•hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training or OSHA 30-hour Construction training.
Preferred Education & Experience:
The following items are preferred for this position: 4-year degree (bachelor's degree) in a Science based subject. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Employee must be authorized to work in the United States and must possess a valid driver's license.
