$33.37 - $45.05 / hour Summary The Sepsis Program Manager plays a vital role in the development, evaluation and implementation of organizational sepsis initiatives across Lee Health. The selected individual will be responsible for identifying gaps in sepsis treatment and care, case review, the implementation of standardized evidenced based practice through sepsis program development and management, coordination of care through the continuum, while monitoring and reporting sepsis quality outcomes under the direction of the System Director for Quality and Clinical Standardization. This position will liaison with other quality teams including Safety and Quality Improvement, Medical and Patient Care Services, Senior Leadership at facility and system levels, medical staff, nursing staff, information services, clinical laboratory, Infection Prevention, Antimicrobial Stewardship and others as needed. The sepsis program manager will work with a physician dyad to facilitate the sepsis clinical consensus workgroup (CCW) under Lee Healths Clinical collaboration council (CCC). Assures data quality, monitors and participates in data collection efforts Lee Health wide related to sepsis measures including external regulation requirements, and including a real time process for monitoring sepsis patients across the continuum of care. Develops action planning for improvement based on findings, data analytics, and cause analysis for sepsis patient population. This individual will work in other areas of the quality and clinical standardization department as assigned. State of Florida Licensure Requirements Licenses Required/ Preferred and/or RN or Clinical LicensePreferred Certifications/Registration Requirements Certificates/Registrations Required/ Preferred and/or BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)Required Additional Requirements Quality, Safety, or other healthcare related certification (eg.
CPHQ, CPPS
) preferred. Other Requirements Quality or change management experience preferred. Experience with quality projects beneficial. Process Improvement skills encouraged. In-depth knowledge of patient care practices, infection prevention strategies, and proficient in sepsis identifiers and other sepsis work. Experience in adult education and group presentations. Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills. Knowledge of Viziant and other data.
