Oversee the installation process of fire alarm systems on construction sites, ensuring adherence to schematics, blueprints, and safety standards. Conduct thorough reviews of construction drawings and schematics related to electrical systems and fire alarm layouts using tools like Bluebeam and ProCore. Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 or other project management software to ensure timely completion of fire alarm installations within budget. Supervise team members involved in electrical system design, installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and electrical building codes while maintaining documentation for inspections and audits. Manage project costs by monitoring budgets, tracking expenses, and implementing cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality. Collaborate closely with construction management teams to review construction schedules and ensure seamless integration of fire alarm system milestones. Oversee testing procedures for fire alarm systems to verify functionality before project handover, including coordination with local authorities for final inspections. Experience Proven experience managing large-scale electrical projects with a focus on fire alarm systems within the construction industry. Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, system design, schematics reading, and blueprint review related to fire alarm installations. Familiarity with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar tools is preferred. Strong understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm Code), and other relevant electrical and fire safety standards. Experience working through permitting phases involving local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Skilled in project scheduling using Primavera P6 or equivalent project management software; ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively. Demonstrated leadership in managing teams of electricians or technicians on construction sites while maintaining safety protocols. Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with construction drawing review is essential. Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines within scope and budget constraints. Prior involvement in construction site management, electrical project management, or related roles is highly desirable.
