EH&S Manager Job Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Compliance- develop, implement, and continuously improve site EH&S programs and policies. Serve as the local Subject Matter Expert, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT/FRA, and other state/ local regulations. Auditing & Reporting
- Conduct regular site audits and assessments, track performance metrics, and report trends to plant and corporate leadership to identify risks and drive continuous improvement. Prepare and submit all required EH&S regulatory reports (air permit, stormwater, POTW, OSHA logs, etc.) accurately and on time. Employee & Contractor Engagement
- Actively engage with employees and contractors to build a strong safety culture. Oversee contractor safety programs, including qualification, pre-job planning, training, and safe work permits. Training & Development
- Deliver EH&S training and coaching to employees, track effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement. Incident Management
- Lead investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Manage EH&S-related action items to closure. Project Support
- Provide EH&S guidance and oversight for capital projects and new equipment installations to ensure safe, compliant execution.
