Job Description TMS International is the leading provider of on-site, industrial steel mill services for steelmakers around the world. We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team in Cartersville, GA. As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures that ensure the health, safety, and environmental standards of our operations. You will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices. This position requires a strong field presence conducting audits, coaching employees, and performing monthly inspections.
Pay:
Approx. $85,000 DOE HSE Manager Responsibilities Administers the attendance and safety incentives for each month.
Supports company policies, dress codes, work rules, safety rules, and ethics.
Supports the day to day operation of the Company wide EH&S program.
Monitors and documents compliance with applicable OSHA, Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence
Prepares required reports to corporate headquarters
Collaborate with management and employees to promote a safety culture and enhance safety awareness
Maintains library of safety and environment documentation and revises when necessary.
Documents and monitors prevention training and reporting on accidents and injuries.
Coaches and mentors employees and supervisors on health and safety expectations.
Performs monthly site inspections and follows up on corrective actions. HSE Manager Qualifications 8-10 years of experience
Minimum of an Associates Degree or 3 years work experience managing an industrial safety program.
Applicants with Bachelors in an ABET accredited Safety program are preferred.
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety programs and training
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
