The Regional Environmental, Health & Safety Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing regional activities associated with Environmental, Health and Safety compliance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for leading and directing the environmental, health and safety activities for our A&I operations group based in Norcross, GA.
Responsibilities include:
Reinforce safe working techniques, the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures set out by the Company. Provide daily guidance and direction at the regional level to ensure a common and effective approach, assist with regulatory compliance and aid with incident and injury reduction. Develop, implement, and coordinate regulatory programs which help direct and support the compliance process. Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Federal and Regional regulations (OSHA and EPA) with a proven track record of implementing compliance programs. Responsible for Environmental regulatory and reporting requirements including but not limited to NPDES, CWA, SDWA, EPCRA, RCRA, SPCC, RMP and other applicable air and waste regulations. Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations (Federal and State) to assist with DOT compliance. Responsible for assisting in the identification of possible losses; evaluating the risk in such loss exposure; developing and implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the plan to ensure its effectiveness. Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected. Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility, assist or lead as necessary in corrective action development, and completion verification. Conduct field reviews, inspections and audits, develop corrective actions and assist, as necessary with implementation, and verify completion of corrective actions. Maintain knowledge of new regulations and standards as they are introduced and/or changed that impact company operations. Develop and implement an EHS training matrix and ensure required training is completed for employees in the assigned region. Conduct training for management, field employees, and contractors regarding applicable EHS programs and procedures, as applicable or requested. Develop, provide, and continuously improve on EHS and DOT Training programs that remain relevant to EHS initiatives. Manage workers' compensation, auto and other applicable insurance programs in the assigned region. Manage the EHS web-based systems, including the Learning Management and Incident Management Systems in the assigned region. Assist with Business Development process including due diligence and transitions. Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education/Experience :
Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in safety management, environmental management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certifications :
Valid Driver's License. CSP, ASP, or Traffic Control a plus.
Technical :
Ability to follow manual & operating instructions. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet. Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations and Environmental Regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to travel to other A&I locations within the US. Sitting, standing, walking on uneven ground, up and down stairs and in process areas, bending and lifting are required to perform job responsibilities.
