Safety Manager Position Overview Capital Air Express is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Safety Manager to lead and support our companywide aviation safety program. The ideal candidate will have aviation industry experience, a strong background in safety training, and the ability to remain organized and effective in a fast-paced environment where priorities and operational needs may change daily.

In Office - Peachtree City, GA Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs Manage and continuously improve the company's Safety Management System (SMS) Conduct safety orientations, recurrent training, meetings, and employee briefings Monitor compliance with applicable FAA regulations and company safety standards Perform safety inspections of workplaces, aircraft, hangars, and facilities Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions Investigate accidents, incidents, injuries, and safety concerns Maintain safety records, reports, training documentation, and compliance files Coordinate internal safety audits and assist with regulatory inspections Track safety trends and provide recommendations to company leadership Develop emergency-response procedures and support emergency-response planning Encourage employees to report hazards and safety concerns Collaborate with flight operations, maintenance, administrative staff, and company leadership Stay current on aviation safety regulations and industry best practices Required Qualifications Aviation industry experience Experience developing, conducting, or managing safety training Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and operational needs Ability to lift and move 25+ pounds Strong knowledge of aviation safety practices and regulatory compliance Familiarity with FAA and TSA regulations Experience with Safety Management Systems Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate safety expectations clearly and professionally Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems Preferred Qualifications Degree or professional training in aviation, occupational safety, safety management, or a related field Aviation safety or occupational safety certification Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification Certified Director of Safety (CDS) certification Experience with emergency-response planning Experience in charter operations, flight operations, or aircraft maintenance Knowledge of OSHA requirements and workplace safety standards Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Professional development assistance Employee discount Work Requirements Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule Work based in the Capital Air Express office in Peachtree City, GA Ability to lift and move 25+ pounds Occasional schedule flexibility for training, inspections, emergencies, or operational needs Must be able to pass drug screening About Capital Air Express Capital Air Express is committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and dependable aviation operation.
