About the role : The Quality Control / Site Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality control and safety functions on assigned construction projects. This position ensures work is completed in accordance with contract documents, company standards, OSHA regulations, EM 385-1-1 requirements, and applicable to federal, state, and local regulations. The Quality Control / Site Safety Manager serves as the primary point of contact for project quality and safety, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, clients, and government representatives to promote quality, compliance, and workplace safety. DutiesResponsibilities:
Develop, implement, and administer the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan in accordance with project specifications and owner requirements. Administer and document the Three-Phase Control Process, including Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections. Conduct routine quality inspections of all phases of construction to ensure compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, drawings, specifications, and applicable government codes. Review, track, and manage submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), inspection reports, and other project quality documentation. Generate and maintain daily quality control reports, inspection logs, deficiency logs, and documentation of corrective actions. Facilitate and schedule preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and quality coordination meetings with project personnel and subcontractors. Identify, monitor, and track quality deficiencies through completion and verify corrective actions that have been implemented. Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, as-built documentation, and project turnover. Act as the primary point of contact with owners, inspectors, architects, engineers, and government quality assurance representatives regarding quality and safety related matters. Develop, implement, and oversee project-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APP), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and other site safety programs. Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, EM 385-1-1, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local safety standards. Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and maintain detailed inspection reports identifying hazards, corrective actions, and resolution dates. Coordinates with safety manager on incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and complete all required documentation and reporting required. Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), hazardous chemical inventories, and required safety reference materials on each project. Monitor subcontractor compliance with all project safety requirements. Attend and participate in pre-construction meetings, pre-task planning meetings, toolbox talks, quality control meetings, and progress meetings. Foster a proactive safety culture by identifying risks, recommending improvements, and implementing preventative measures before incidents occur.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or equivalent utility design experience. Minimum 5-7 years' experience in electrical distribution, power systems, or related engineering fields. Proficient in electrical distribution design, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements. CAD or GIS proficiency is a plus. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g.
IEEE, NEC, OSHA
). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with utility estimating software. Knowledge of Georgia utility operations is a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Physical Requirements:
The role combines office work (desk, computer, and phone) and occasional fieldwork. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Site visits may require navigating diverse spaces and terrains, sometimes with heavy equipment.
