Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager specialized in chemical manufacturing to lead our safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all environmental and occupational health regulations. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain environmental health and safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards specific to chemical manufacturing. Lead hazard assessments, root cause analysis, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence. Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations, environmental management systems, and workplace safety protocols through regular audits and inspections. Provide training and development programs on safety regulations, hazard communication, emergency response procedures (including CPR and First Aid), and environmental management practices for all employees. Oversee reporting processes related to workplace injuries, workers' compensation law compliance, environmental incidents, and regulatory documentation. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with environmental health standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting occupational health and environmental compliance within the chemical manufacturing industry. Experience Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on chemical production or related industries. Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, EPA environmental standards, hazardous materials regulations, and workers' compensation law. Demonstrated expertise in developing safety programs that incorporate environmental management systems and regulatory compliance standards. Experience conducting risk assessments, root cause analysis, report writing, and delivering effective employee training sessions on safety topics. Familiarity with occupational health practices including employee health (regulatory compliance standards) and environmental health considerations in a manufacturing setting. Certification or training in First Aid, CPR, OSHA safety standards, or environmental management systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead safety initiatives across diverse teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety. $120,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
