EHS DIRECTOR

Chicago food manufacturing company is looking for someone to step into the shoes as Director of Safety. Prefer someone from the food manufacturing or packaging industry. Bilingual in Spanish Must be strong in OSHA, have current knowledge of plant safety and speaking Spanish is a big plus. Must be within commuting distance to our plants near Bedford Park. EHS DIRECTOR

- We are looking for a proactive, strong leader with knowledge and ideas to improve and build on the Safety program 1. Have a strong understanding of Federal (OSHA) & state safety regulations 2. Lead, Design, & Monitor safety programs 3. Make sure all employees have adequate training 4. Enforce safety policies and procedures 5. Ensures periodic safety audits are conducted and documented 6. Reviews all accident reporting and performs investigations to determine cause and possible preventive measures. 7. Will provide leadership and be in the plants as necessary. 8. Knowledge of lockout/tagout 9. Supervisory experience Chicago candidates only. Corporate office and main facility just north of 79th street. This is about the SAFETY of people, not the food manufacturing but experience in the specific hazards of employees engaged in food manufacturing is essential. No relocation offered. Must live within commuting distance. No sponsorship offered. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Salary $110,000 - $130,000 + negotiable depending experience.
