Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Safety Manager specializing in Food Service to lead our safety initiatives and ensure a secure, compliant, and healthy environment across our food production and service facilities. In this vital role, you will champion workplace safety standards, oversee regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of safety excellence. Your expertise will help safeguard our team members, visitors, and the community while promoting continuous improvement in safety practices within the food service industry. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs tailored to food service operations, ensuring adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential safety issues related to hazardous materials, equipment, or procedures. Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Provide training sessions on workplace safety protocols, emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid, hazardous materials handling, and environmental management systems. Ensure compliance with environmental health standards and hazardous materials regulations by monitoring storage, disposal practices, and regulatory reporting requirements. Maintain detailed safety records, incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance documentation with regulatory/legal standards in production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop safety initiatives that promote employee health (regulatory compliance standards), environmental health, and overall occupational health. Qualifications Risk assessment, accident investigation and reporting, OSHA certified Proven experience in manufacturing or food service environments with a strong understanding of workplace safety principles. Certifications in CPR, first aid, OSHA safety regulations, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) standards, and environmental management systems are highly desirable. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and experience managing workers' compensation claims process. Familiarity with environmental regulatory compliance including hazardous materials regulations and environmental health standards. Strong report writing skills coupled with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively. Demonstrated ability to develop training & development programs focused on EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices. Occupational health expertise with a focus on employee health regulatory compliance standards in a production or food service setting. Join us as we prioritize safety at every level! $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
