Job Description The Area Safety Manager is responsible for supporting safety initiatives across multiple construction projects within the local market. This role works closely with field leadership and project teams to promote safe work practices, ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and build a proactive safety culture across all job sites. Key Responsibilities Travel between job sites to conduct safety inspections, observations, and coaching. Partner with foremen, superintendents, project managers, and field employees to reinforce safety expectations. Assist with OSHA compliance, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety documentation. Conduct safety training and certifications for field employees. Monitor safety performance trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives. Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure resolution. Serve as a safety resource for operations teams by providing guidance, support, and best practices. Promote a culture focused on accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of construction safety experience, preferably within commercial construction or specialty contracting. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices. Experience conducting jobsite inspections, safety observations, incident investigations, and employee training. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with field employees, supervisors, and project leadership. Ability to identify safety risks and provide practical solutions. Willingness to travel throughout the local market supporting multiple project sites. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn safety reporting systems. Preferred Qualifications CHST, ASP, or CSP certification (or actively pursuing certification). OSHA 30 and
OSHA 500/510
certifications. Experience training employees on equipment safety and construction safety procedures. Experience supporting large commercial construction projects or specialty trade contractors. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$70,000 - $100,000 based on experience and qualifications. Bonus opportunities. Profit-sharing opportunities.
