Position Summary:
The Director of Buildings, Grounds, and Safety is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing the District's facilities, operations, and safety goals and objectives. This position oversees the administration of policies and procedures that ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of all District buildings and grounds. The Director of Buildings, Grounds, and Safety supervises facilities, custodial, and grounds staff, ensuring that all operations are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, Board policies, and administrative regulations. Additionally, the Director of Buildings, Grounds, and Safety is responsible for maintaining accurate, transparent, and auditable records related to facilities operations, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance for the District. Position Qualifications In Addition to Those on the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred, or a minimum of five years of experience in a related position. Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in operations and facilities required. Building administrator experience preferred (Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean, etc) Bilingual Spanish Preferred Commitment to 5 years in this position

West Chicago Elementary School District 33's population reflects the diverse demographics of West Chicago and portions of Winfield and Wheaton, from which it draws its student enrollment. The overall student population is approximately 3,000. Of that number, approximately 81.1% of the students come from Hispanic origins, 12.3% White, 3.2% Asian/Pacific Islander and 3.2% Black.
