Job Description

Our client, a paper and packaging mfg. co. is seeking a EHS Manager to join their team. As a EHS Manager, you will be part of the Management team supporting Environmental, Health & Safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong environmental background, change management skillset and good leadership skills which will align successfully in the organization.

$110-120/k + bonus, pension eligible What's the Job? To formulate and direct policies to provide a safe and healthy atmosphere within the workplace. Develop health and safety procedures and programs for all departments and monitor safety compliance to reduce risks. Maintains contingency plans, including fire prevention, and procedures for controlling hazardous spills in accordance with government regulation and insurance company requirements. Supervises training sessions for emergency preparedness, confined spaces, electrical safety, machine guarding, fall protection and forklift safety. Maintains EPA records of hazardous waste, air emission permitting, and water pollution discharge, as well as industrial health monitoring and records of employee hazard exposure according to OSHA regulations. What's Needed? Strong Environmental background! Being able to adapt to a changing workforce culture and helping employees understand why safety is of the utmost importance. Building and creating a safety department. Implementing EHS policies & procedures Paper or Packaging background preferred. What's in it for me?
