Job Description
We are adding Fire Watch employees to our team in Madison, IN. Shift runs Monday through Friday / Saturday and Sunday, Night shift. Pay is weekly $15 per hour. Overview The Fire Watch position is critical for maintaining safety and compliance in environments where hot work operations are taking place. This role involves monitoring areas for fire hazards, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, and acting swiftly in the event of an emergency. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding safety standards. Responsibilities Monitor designated areas for potential fire hazards during hot work operations. Maintain a clear line of communication with the work crew and emergency services. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and surroundings to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to supervisors. Utilize fire extinguishing equipment if necessary and trained to do so. Document observations and incidents accurately in accordance with company policies. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required. Experience Previous experience in a safety role or as a Fire Watch is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with fire safety regulations and procedures is advantageous. Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods. Strong communication skills to effectively relay information to team members and emergency responders.
