The position is responsible for the administering and auditing of safety practices, programs, and policies across a range of clients concerned with safety and property protection. Assignments include responsibility for on-site audits and observations, determination of technical adequacy of plans, designs, and specifications for improvement of safety compliance.
- Bilingual is preferred - translate Spanish and English with employees.
- Performs audits and inspections of work sites, as required, to assure compliance with safety and health program requirements; prepares technical reports of inspection findings; and develops corrective actions.
- Prepares Job Hazard Analyses, coordinates Daily Work Permits and Special Procedures for Confined Space, Hot Work etc. while directing safety and occupational health of employees at jobsite.
- Inspects construction projects to determine compliance with applicable occupational safety standards.
- Completes hazard and job safety analysis to ensure proper use of machinery and equipment, personal protective equipment, and procedures.
- Conducts incident investigations to ascertain causes and to develop preventive safety measures.
- Assists in training employees and following up on skills while on jobsites.
