Based full-time at a leading orthopedic manufacturing facility in Warsaw, Indiana, you'll serve as the primary owner of the site's Permit-to-Work and Contractor Safety Management programs. Working alongside a client with a proactive, world-class approach to health and safety, you'll help ensure high-risk work is planned, executed, and completed safely while partnering with facilities, EHS, operations, engineering, contractors, and leadership to continuously strengthen an already exceptional safety culture. Who You'll Work With:
Although you'll be embedded full-time at our client's facility, you'll always be part of the SevenGen team. Day-to-day, you'll partner closely with the client's Environmental, Health & Safety, Facilities, Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and contractor teams to coordinate work safely and efficiently. You'll also remain connected to SevenGen through regular coaching, technical collaboration, quarterly development conversations, and ongoing support from our Safety Solutions Director and broader team of safety professionals. You'll have the autonomy to own your work while knowing you're never on an island.
What You'll Do:
As the on-site Safety Professional, you'll serve as the primary safety resource for contractor work across the facility, helping ensure high-risk work is planned, communicated, and executed safely.
You'll:
Lead the site's Contractor Safety Management program, serving as the primary point of contact for contractors, site leadership, and internal stakeholders. Manage the day-to-day Permit-to-Work (PTW) process by reviewing work scopes, evaluating safe work plans and procedures, issuing and modifying permits, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with site requirements. Partner directly with contractors to proactively identify hazards, resolve safety challenges, and develop practical solutions that enable work to move forward safely and efficiently. Collaborate closely with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Facilities, Operations, and Maintenance teams to coordinate work activities, communicate changing conditions, and support safe project execution. Monitor contractor activities in the field, verify compliance with permit requirements and site expectations, and provide coaching and guidance when opportunities for improvement are identified. Exercise sound judgment to navigate changing priorities, unexpected conditions, and complex work activities while maintaining a strong focus on risk reduction and operational success. Build trusted working relationships through timely communication, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Represent the SevenGen brand each day by delivering exceptional service, demonstrating technical credibility, and embodying our commitment to protecting people and improving workplaces.

Helps contractors overcome safety challenges while maintaining compliance and keeping projects moving. Is recognized as a trusted partner who communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, and brings practical solutions to complex work. Represents SevenGen's values through exceptional service, professionalism, and technical excellence. Your First 90 Days We don't expect you to know everything on day one. We believe great onboarding creates great employees, and we'll provide the support you need to succeed. First 30 Days Successfully complete our client's onboarding process Learn the facility, its operations, and the site's Permit-to-Work and Contractor Safety Management processes. Build relationships with contractors, site leadership, and cross-functional partners. Become familiar with the client's safety culture, systems, and expectations while learning SevenGen's approach to exceptional service. By 60 Days Begin independently managing routine permits and supporting contractor activities. Confidently navigate day-to-day safety questions while partnering with the site team to resolve challenges. Establish yourself as a dependable resource for contractors and internal stakeholders. By 90 Days Independently lead the daily Permit-to-Work process. Serve as a trusted advisor for contractor safety, balancing operational needs with sound risk management. Represent SevenGen with confidence while making a meaningful contribution to the client's already exceptional safety culture.
What You'll Bring Experience:
3+ years of experience supporting health and safety programs in manufacturing, construction, industrial, or similarly complex environments. A bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Technical Expertise:
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices. Experience with Permit-to-Work systems and Contractor Safety Management. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, fall protection, working at heights, hot work, and other high-risk work activities. Ability to evaluate risk and develop practical solutions that balance operational needs with worker safety. Comfort learning and utilizing digital permit systems, tablets, and cloud-based software platforms. ASP, CSP, CHST, OHST, or similar certifications are valued but not required.
