Full-Time Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Safety Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of safety coordinator experience in the construction industry , with a strong focus on ensuring workplace safety through proactive hazard identification, compliance with OSHA regulations, and continuous improvement of safety protocols. If you have a passion for maintaining a safe working environment and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply! This is a temp to hire position and long term project (1+ year) Hours are Monday-Friday, 40+ hours per week. Have to be able to be on-site everyday.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures to prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety. Provide safety training and orientation to construction workers, supervisors, and management. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports. Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to promote safe work practices. Ensure all workers are equipped with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and are following safety guidelines. Stay up to date with OSHA regulations and industry safety best practices, and provide guidance to management on changes to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS STRICT FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREEN OSHA
30-Hour Construction Safety Certification is required.
OSHA 510
is a big plus Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a construction safety professional. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices. Ability to conduct safety audits, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage workers at all levels. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. CPR/First Aid certification required Why Join Us?
