An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Director is responsible for directing the strategic approach to managing the environmental impact of an organization on the surrounding area. Responsible for ensuring that the organization has a systematic approach to complying with environmental regulations, such as managing waste or air emissions. Will liaise with directors of other sections of the organization to ensure that strategic goals align with those of the environmental health and safety team.

Back Director of HSE @ Elwood Staffing Direct Hire position Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Duties & Responsibilities Lead and execute the company's HSE strategy, aligning safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence with business objectives. Oversee corporate health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulations. Drive a proactive safety culture through training, risk management, incident prevention, and workforce engagement initiatives. Develop standardized HSE policies, performance metrics, and continuous improvement programs to reduce risk and enhance operations. Partner with executive and operational leadership to identify risks, ensure audit readiness, and strengthen organizational performance and accountability.
Salary Range:
$120,000+
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of HSE experience, including leadership responsibility for multi-site operations and safety programs. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and risk management practices. Ability to travel to support field operations, audits, and training initiatives.
