Heavy Civil Construction Safety Manager

Job Description

Great mid-level to role for the right candidate looking to propel their career to the next level. They will be involved heavily and be the go to person on projects for all safety related matters for a top Massachusetts heavy civil construction firm. Solid company! What you will be doing Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials Evaluate, assess and alter safety procedures and policies for the benefit of employees and clients Research and implement new materials handling processes Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available facts Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance Track incident metrics and apply findings Oversee the applications for and receipt of necessary permits Lead injury and incident inquiries and evaluations Safety Manager qualifications and skills Bachelor's degree required in Safety /related MADOT experience strongly preferred 3-8+ years' experience in safety in heavy civil construction with emphasis/ prior experience on heavy civil projects MADOT (roadway, bridge, utility, site etc) Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards with regard to construction Certifications preferred Ability to train, influence and motivate team members on safety Some travel required why work here: Top culture Growth experience Top projects with deep backlog and very stable 90000-130000+ DOE #CIV123
