Staffworks Group is seeking an experienced professional Site Safety Officer (SSO) to oversee and enforce safety regulations on federal or government sites

MUST HAVE U.S. ARMY CORP OF ENGINEERS CQM-C CERTIFICATE MUST HAVE SSO CERTIFICATION & OSHA 30 TO BE CONSIDERED.

Hours:

Monday - Friday/1st Shift/Contract Job 6+ Months /NO Per Diem/No Additional Travel cost. What you will be working on: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and company standards. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks. Maintain and update safety documentation, including accident reports and training records. Provide safety training and toolbox talks to employees and subcontractors. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure all workers comply with PPE requirements and other safety regulations. Communicate safety concerns and improvements with management and workers. Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and government agencies to maintain a safe work environment.

What we are looking for:

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or industrial safety and federal or government job sites OSHA 30-Hour required Must have SSHO Certification to comply with requirements of 29 CFR 1926.16 Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively First Aid/CPR certification
