Job Summary The Safety Manager supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of companywide safety and health programs. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a proactive, accountable safety culture across field operations and project teams. The Safety Manager works closely with operations, project management, and field leadership to reduce risk, prevent incidents, and support safe, efficient execution of work. Primary Responsibilities 1. Safety Program Implementation & Support Support development and execution of safety and health programs aligned with organizational goals. Communicate safety expectations and reinforce a culture of accountability and shared responsibility. Monitor regulatory changes and assist in updating policies and procedures. 2. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations, including documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping. Participate in regulatory inspections, audits, and inquiries. Assist with corrective action plans and abatement strategies. 3. Incident Management & Continuous Improvement Support incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis. Track corrective and preventive actions to closure. Review safety data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. 4. Safety Metrics & Reporting Maintain and track key safety performance indicators. Prepare routine safety reports for project and operational leadership. Use data insights to support decision?making. 5. Training, Education & Safety Culture Deliver and support safety training programs, including onboarding and refresher courses. Promote engagement in safety practices across field and project teams. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for safety requirements and best practices. 6. Field & Project Integration Partner with project leaders to embed safety requirements into daily work activities. Conduct or support jobsite inspections, audits, JHAs, and risk assessments. Ensure consistent application of safety standards across multiple sites. 7. Leadership & Collaboration Provide guidance and support to field personnel and project teams. Collaborate with operations, HR, fleet, insurance, and external partners. Assist with claims management processes and insurance reviews. Experience & Skills Requirements Required 5-7+ years of progressive experience in safety management or occupational safety roles. 3-5 years of field based or trade related experience. Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry (1910) and Construction (1926). Experience with OSHA inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping. Professional safety certifications (CHST, ASP, CSP, or equivalent). Preferred Construction industry safety experience strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in occupational safety & health, Safety Management, Engineering, or related field. Experience with safety management software, dashboards, or KPI systems. Familiarity with NEC and construction electrical safety. Compensation & Benefits Base salary up to $120,000 , depending on experience. $6,000 annual vehicle allowance , paid out in biweekly increments , to be used for fuel or vehicle maintenance. Required overtime (5-10 hours/week) paid at time and a half. Annual bonus eligibility. Medical, dental, and vision benefits. ESOP participation.
