Part-Time Public Safety Office Manager (Non-Profit)
Employment Type:
Part-Time, Non-Exempt (24-29 hrs/week)
Work Location:
In-person, Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm; occasional nights/weekends for event support. Accrued vacation time and accrued sick time. 11 holidays plus 2 floating holidays.
Pay:
$24-$28/hour, depending on experience
Reports To:
Executive Director Position Summary The Public Safety Office Manager supports the non-profit's mission by managing daily administrative operations, coordinating public safety-related activities, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining strong communication and coordination with staff, volunteers, and external partners Key Responsibilities Office Administration Oversee daily administrative operations, including welcoming guests and serve as the primary point of contact for external inquiries (phone, email) with timely, courteous responses. Maintain organized filing systems for important documents and records. Collaborate with implementation of office policies and ensure compliance with regulations. Public Safety & Event Support Assist in planning and executing public safety-related events, fundraisers, and outreach programs. Support coordination with law enforcement, emergency services, and community partners. Provide logistical and administrative support for safety-related initiatives. Keep detailed logs for compliance with Community Block Development Grant. Preferred Skills, Education and Experience Proven experience in office administration or a similar role. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Intermediate to proficient skills in Microsoft 365 (Office Suite, Admin Center). Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Intermediate to proficient experience with CRM systems, databases, and Excel. Associate degree or equivalent of experience. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Two to five years of administrative experience. This role is ideal for someone who values community service, enjoys public safety outreach, and can balance administrative duties with event and compliance responsibilities.
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 29.0 per week
