About the Augustine Institute The mission of the Augustine Institute is to serve the formation of Catholics for the New Evangelization. Position Summary This role is responsible for overseeing all matters related to safety and security for a 285 acre 300,000 sq ft facility, housing a residential graduate school of theology, working office building, and guest rooms for retreats and conferences. The qualified leader will be responsible for ensuring a continuity of operations during and outside normal operation hours; to to provide the faculty, guest, staff, and students an exceptional, safe, secure and welcoming experience. The Campus Safety and Security Operations Manager will partner closely with all departments and with contracted security personnel to ensure and an environment wherein campus business runs smoothly and operational standards are constantly upheld. Key Responsibilities Specific duties listed are not all-inclusive for this position. Provide for smooth flow of campus operations from campus access points, throughout the grounds and in campus facilities. Collaborate with other campus departments to ensure seamless operations and a positive experience. Serve as the senior operational leader on duty during assigned shifts, making independent decisions to ensure continuity of campus operations. Communicate and collaborate with the campus maintenance and campus support teams in addressing matters of maintenance and operational excellence. Serve as the primary operational point of contact for campus security matters. Provide operational oversight and direction to contracted security personnel, ensuring security services align with the Augustine Institute policies, procedures, and hospitality standards. Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and after-hours operational issues by phone or in person. Assist in managing facility budgets and expenses, ensuring that operations are cost-effective. Manage safety protocols and procedures, and ensure faculty, staff, and students are properly trained. Train staff in basic first responder procedures. Other duties as assigned Qualifications 2+ years of experience in facilities management or operations management. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong problem solving and decision making abilities to make sound judgments using discretion. Maintain a 1st Aid/CPR/AED Instructor qualification. Must be able to obtain the qualification within 6 months of employment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of safety and security protocols and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with campus community members. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. To be able to issue clear concise verbal and/or written instructions to faculty, guests, staff and students. Ability to establish, follow, and maintain appropriate schedules that ensure a lasting experience for all invitees of the Augustine institute.
