Job Description Summary This role can be located at any of the U.S Elementis locations (East Windsor, NJ, St. Louis, MO, Milwaukee, WI, New Martinsville, WV, Huguenot, NY, or Newberry Springs, CA) The Americas Regional HSE Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function across North and South America. This role is accountable for achieving Zero Harm by embedding TogetherSAFE principles and Global HSE Standards into daily operations, leadership behaviors, and decision‑making. The position leads continuous improvement of HSE performance, regulatory compliance, and safety culture across the Americas while ensuring alignment with global HSE strategy, policies, and standards. Job Description Leadership, Culture & Strategy Champion Zero Harm as a core business priority and reinforce accountability for safety at all levels. Embed TogetherSAFE principles across all Americas sites. Ensure consistent implementation and adherence to Global HSE Standards and Life‑Saving Rules. Partner with Global HSE leadership to develop, communicate, and implement HSE standards. Act as a key member of the Americas leadership team, influencing business decisions through a strong HSE perspective. HSE Management Systems & Compliance Provide strong leadership to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and HSE standards across the Americas. Ensure effective incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions. Support site leadership in managing relationships with regulatory and government agencies. Coordinate the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE management systems (ISO 14001 and
ISO 45001
certification). Operational Excellence & Risk Management Provide guidance on environmental management, occupational and process safety, emergency response, fire protection, and industrial hygiene. Drive proactive risk identification and mitigation to prevent serious injuries, fatalities, and environmental incidents. Oversee regional HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews for the region. Ensure consistent incident learning, trend analysis, and sharing of best practices across sites. People & Capability Development Develop and strengthen the Americas HSE organization through coaching, mentoring of site HSE professionals. Build and maintain a strong, inclusive team culture by encouraging collaboration, peer support, and open communication, ensuring resources and best practices are shared effectively across sites. Support delivery of HSE training programs and competencies aligned with legislation and internal standards. Foster a strong safety culture through visible leadership, engagement, empowerment, and alignment with Zero Harm, TogetherSAFE, Global HSE Standards, and Life‑Saving Rules. Collaboration & Communication Align regional HSE strategies with site leadership and other key functions to ensure consistent execution, integration, and shared ownership of HSE goals and performance metrics across the Americas. Coordinate and facilitate regional HSE meetings and initiatives to drive collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across sites. Decision making The Americas Regional HSE Manager operates with a high level of autonomy in managing day‑to‑day and tactical HSE activities across the Americas, including regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, incident oversight, and implementation of HSE management systems aligned with Zero Harm and TogetherSAFE. The role is empowered to set regional HSE priorities, direct site HSE resources, approve corrective and preventive actions, engage with regulatory agencies, and intervene or escalate operations when significant safety or compliance risks are identified.Additional Job Description Job Competencies Collaborates:

The role must tailor messages across diverse audiences and functions to drive understanding and action. Technical Knowledge and Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and management systems (e.g.ISO 45001
) Environmental compliance standards (EPA) and management systems (e.g.ISO 14001
) Process Safety Management (PSM) elements and systems (mechanical integrity, PSI, MoC, PHA) Incident investigation and root cause analysis Position Requirements 1.Education:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 2.Experience:
Minimum 10 years of HSE experience, Minimum 5 years in chemical manufacturing, Minimum 5 years in a management or leadership role 3.IT Skills:
Proficiency in EHS Management systems, Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Power BI 4.Language Skills:
