This pivotal role involves , implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with all construction safety regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in occupational health, risk management, and construction safety management, fostering a culture of safety excellence. You will collaborate closely with project teams, site managers, and regulatory agencies to promote a safe working environment while minimizing risks associated with construction activities involving concrete and asphalt. Your leadership will be instrumental in safeguarding personnel, equipment, and project integrity throughout all phases of construction. Responsibilities Implement, and oversee safety protocols tailored to concrete and asphalt construction operations, ensuring adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), ANSI (American National Standards Institute), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), NEC (National Electrical Code), and other relevant standards. Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards related to construction workplace safety regulations, electrical safety procedures, occupational health concerns, and environmental risks; promptly address any deficiencies. Lead safety training sessions for construction teams on topics such as hazard recognition, risk management strategies, OSHA compliance, NFPA standards, electrical safety procedures, first aid and CPR certification requirements, and emergency response protocols. Manage incident investigations related to construction accidents or near-misses involving concrete or asphalt activities; compile detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local construction regulatory requirements including workers' compensation policies and OSHA regulations; maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections. Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into project planning, scheduling, and execution phases; promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization. Monitor ongoing adherence to construction safety management practices; update policies as needed based on evolving regulations or industry best practices. Skills Working knowledge of occupational health principles specific to construction environments involving concrete and asphalt materials. Proven experience in risk management techniques within the construction industry; ability to assess hazards effectively. Strong understanding of OSHA standards, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, NEC codes, and construction workplace safety regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills in team management and safety training implementation; capable of fostering a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking purposes. Hands-on experience with construction site operations including concrete pouring processes, asphalt paving techniques, electrical safety procedures on job sites, and general construction management practices.
