2952527894-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Drax is seeking an HSE Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental programs at our renewable energy operations. You will develop and implement HSE strategies, ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations, and drive a strong safety culture across biomass and power generation facilities. Responsibilities include risk assessments, incident investigations, training, emergency preparedness, and contractor safety oversight. You'll partner with operations and leadership to improve HSE performance, support continuous improvement, and enable safe, sustainable growth in low carbon energy. Responsibilities Lead site-wide health, safety, and environmental programs for biomass and power generation operations Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state HSE regulations and company standards Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety inspections Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking Develop and deliver HSE training and toolbox talks for employees and contractors Manage contractor safety programs and permit-to-work processes Maintain regulatory documentation and support required HSE reporting and audits Develop and test emergency response plans and drills Track and analyze HSE KPIs, trends, and continuous improvement actions Partner with operations leadership to embed a strong safety culture and best practices Required Skills Occupational health and safety management Environmental compliance (EPA, state) Process safety management (PSM) Risk assessment and hazard analysis (HAZOP/JSA) Incident investigation and root cause analysis Safety training design and delivery Regulatory reporting and documentation Contractor safety management Emergency response planning HSE performance metrics and auditing
