Job Description
Role:
The Assistant Manager, Safety leads a team of safety professionals to innovate, design, and enhance safety systems, processes, and equipment aligned with operations, new models, and business goals.Responsibilities:
Manage safety themes and complex improvement projects within the plant. Oversee daily safety operations, mentor team members, and foster technical growth. Apply safety expertise to proactively reduce hazards through PDCA cycles. Interpret and implement safety policies, conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and safety documentation. Present safety data, analyze trends, and report on safety performance. Develop personal expertise and professional skills.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field; 8+ years safety experience or equivalent. Professional safety certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional). Strong communication, interpersonal, and data analysis skills. Knowledge of safety regulations, injury prevention, root cause analysis, and business reporting.Work Conditions:
