Will ensure that the organization has a systematic approach to complying with environmental regulations, such as managing waste or air emissions. Other responsibilities may include finding ways to reduce the organization's carbon footprint.
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Supervisor to lead our safety and environmental compliance initiatives. This full-time role, scheduled Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3 pm, offers an exciting opportunity to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. You will oversee the implementation of safety protocols, conduct training sessions, and ensure adherence to all regulatory standards. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety awareness and environmental stewardship across our operations, empowering teams to work confidently and securely. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify risks and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead safety training programs including hazardous materials handling, and environmental management systems to ensure employee preparedness. Monitor workplace safety practices to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and environmental health standards; enforce safety regulations consistently across all departments. Manage incident reporting processes, including workers' compensation law adherence and detailed report writing for accidents or near-misses. Oversee hazardous materials regulations compliance, ensuring proper storage, handling, disposal procedures are followed in accordance with environmental regulations. Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills to reinforce safety protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, environmental regulatory compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations. Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a focus on workplace safety and environmental health. Expertise in environmental management systems (EMS) and environmental compliance procedures. Excellent report writing skills coupled with analytical skills for root cause analysis of incidents. Ability to conduct effective training & development sessions on occupational health, safety regulations, first aid (CPR included), and hazard recognition. Familiarity with workers' compensation law processes and legal requirements related to employee health. Exceptional communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration across teams.
