Position Summary Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve the company's health and safety program. This role supports permanent and temporary employees across multiple worksites and partners with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to promote safe work practices and maintain compliance with applicable OSHA, MSHA, client, and company requirements. The Safety Manager conducts field inspections, supports employee training and onboarding, maintains safety documentation and client prequalification records, and helps ensure that employees have the training and personal protective equipment needed to work safely. Key Responsibilities Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the company's safety program, policies, procedures, and safety manual. Conduct job site inspections and regulatory or client audits; document findings and track corrective actions through completion. Attend weekly project planning meetings and provide practical safety guidance to project managers, superintendents, and field teams. Monitor work practices, identify hazards, and recommend improvements. Develop and review job-specific safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Coordinate and maintain employee safety training, including standard OSHA construction topics, OSHA 10- and 30-hour, MSHA New Miner and Refresher, First Aid/CPR, toolbox talks, new-hire orientations, and client site-access training. Support new-hire onboarding and assist with administrative requirements for onboarding with new clients. Manage client prequalification and safety management platforms, including ISNetworld, Avetta, Highwire, ContractorOS, and client-specific systems. Maintain accurate safety records and training documentation using SafetyBase and other relevant systems. Coordinate the availability and condition of essential electrical PPE and safety equipment, including hard hats, gloves, eye and hearing protection, arc-flash suits, rubber insulating gloves and mats, and fall-protection equipment. Coordinate required safety-related inspections, such as annual fire-extinguisher inspections for facilities and fleet vehicles. Verify that JSAs, equipment inspections, training records, and other required safety documentation are complete and current. Qualifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to maintain accurate records and follow corrective actions through closure. Comfort using a wide range of digital software and systems, including Microsoft Office Ability to communicate safety expectations clearly and work effectively with field employees, project leadership, and client representatives.
