Genesis HCC seeks a Unit Manager to lead daily operations within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. This role oversees clinical staff, patient care quality, and regulatory compliance while fostering a compassionate, collaborative culture. The Unit Manager coordinates interdisciplinary care, drives patient safety initiatives, monitors key performance metrics, and supports innovative treatments and workflow improvements. You will mentor and develop staff, promote best practices, and ensure a patient-centered environment aligned with Genesis's mission to maximize outcomes and improve lives. Responsibilities Lead and manage daily operations of the assigned unit to ensure safe, high-quality patient care Supervise, coach, and schedule clinical and support staff to maintain optimal coverage Monitor clinical workflows, documentation, and compliance with regulatory and Genesis standards Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care plans Oversee patient satisfaction initiatives and address concerns in a timely, professional manner Track and analyze unit metrics, including quality, safety, and financial performance Support implementation of innovative treatments, best practices, and process improvements Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, and risk management protocols Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for unit staff Provide ongoing staff education, mentorship, and participate in professional development initiatives Required Skills Clinical operations management Nursing practice and patient assessment Care coordination and discharge planning Regulatory and compliance knowledge (state, federal, CMS) Electronic Health Record (EHR) management Staff supervision, coaching, and performance management Quality improvement and patient safety methodologies Infection prevention and control practices Data analysis and unit performance tracking Conflict resolution and patient/customer service
