Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Field Safety Representative to champion safety excellence across construction sites and operational areas. In this vital role, you will serve as the frontline advocate for occupational health, safety compliance, and risk management, ensuring that all work environments adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help foster a culture of safety, minimize hazards, and promote a secure workplace for all team members, contractors, and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives, implement training programs, and collaborate with project teams to uphold the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on construction sites, identifying potential hazards related to electrical safety procedures, ANSI standards, OSHA regulations, and construction workplace safety regulations. Develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols aligned with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), and other relevant codes to ensure compliance across all operations. Lead safety training sessions for workers and management on topics such as occupational health, construction safety management, hazard recognition, emergency response procedures, and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Manage risk assessments by evaluating construction activities and recommending corrective actions to mitigate hazards related to workers' compensation claims and occupational health concerns. Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, inspections, audits, and training activities using construction management software and compliance management tools. Collaborate with project managers to ensure adherence to construction regulatory compliance requirements and OSHA standards throughout project phases. Serve as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries from team members and coordinate with external agencies during inspections or investigations. Requirements Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and ANSI standards. Demonstrated knowledge of risk management practices, occupational health principles, OSHA regulations, NEC wiring codes, NFPA standards, and electrical safety procedures. Ability to lead safety training initiatives effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices. Strong organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and construction management software for recordkeeping and reporting purposes. Excellent communication skills to clearly convey safety policies and procedures across diverse teams. Construction experience coupled with construction management background is highly preferred. Valid certifications such as First Aid & CPR, OSHA 30-hour or 500-hour training courses are required; additional certifications in NFPA or ANSI standards are advantageous. Ability to perform site inspections in various environments while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to all relevant regulations.
