$75,000-$100,000 per year Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Safety Supervisor to support our oil and gas operations in Southeast New Mexico. This is a hands-on, field-focused position responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, supporting operations, providing employee training, and helping ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate must be comfortable spending significant time in the field working directly with drilling, workover, and other oilfield operations. This position requires someone who can build relationships with employees and managers while also being willing to identify unsafe conditions, stop unsafe work when necessary, and follow issues through to completion. Primary Responsibilities Field Safety & Operational Support Maintain a strong and consistent HSE presence at company and customer locations. Conduct field safety observations, inspections, and audits of drilling rigs, workover rigs, equipment, vehicles, shops, and other operations. Identify hazards and unsafe conditions and work with supervisors and employees to implement corrective actions. Follow up on identified deficiencies to ensure corrective actions are completed. Exercise Stop Work Authority when an imminent hazard or serious unsafe condition exists. Support operational activities including rig moves, crew activities, hiring needs, and scheduling when necessary. Work closely with operations management to promote safe and efficient operations. Incident Investigation & Response Respond to workplace incidents, injuries, spills, property damage, near misses, and other HSE events. Conduct and assist with incident investigations, including identifying root causes and contributing factors. Prepare clear, accurate, and timely incident reports. Develop and track corrective actions following incidents and investigations. Assist management with communicating lessons learned throughout the organization. Training & Employee Development Conduct HSE orientation for new employees. Schedule and facilitate monthly safety and compliance training. Conduct safety meetings, and field coaching. Reinforce company policies, procedures, customer requirements, and safe work practices. Assist employees and supervisors in understanding and applying HSE requirements in day-to-day operations. Regulatory & Customer Compliance Assist with compliance involving OSHA, DOT, Hazardous Materials, EPA, and applicable state and federal requirements. Conduct regulatory and internal compliance inspections. Assist with customer audits, inspections, and HSE requirements. Stay current on applicable HSE regulations and industry requirements. Work with managers and supervisors to implement regulatory and customer requirements in the field. Assist with environmental compliance, spill prevention, response, and reporting. HSE Programs & Reporting Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining company and site-specific HSE programs. Maintain accurate inspection, training, incident, and compliance documentation. Compile HSE statistics and identify trends or recurring issues. Communicate HSE performance, concerns, and recommendations to management. Assist with programs involving hazard communication, emergency response, spill prevention, PPE, H2S, fall protection, and other applicable oilfield hazards. Qualifications Required Minimum 1 year of HSE experience in the oil and gas industry. Working knowledge of oilfield safety practices and regulatory requirements. Ability to conduct field inspections, employee training, and incident investigations. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in field environments. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to travel extensively throughout Southeast New Mexico and surrounding operating areas. Ability to respond to incidents and operational needs outside normal business hours when required. Preferred 2+ years of hands-on drilling and/or workover rig experience. Previous experience in an oilfield Safety Supervisor, HSE Supervisor, or similar position. Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, HAZMAT, H2S, environmental, and oilfield safety requirements. Experience conducting incident investigations and corrective-action follow-up. Bilingual in English and Spanish . Current oilfield safety certifications are a plus. Travel & Schedule Approximately 75% field travel . Home at nights. Monday through Friday and some weekends depending on operational needs. On-call availability. Occasional nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. Must be willing and able to respond to field incidents when necessary.
