Safety Director (DOT / FMCSA)

Job Overview Truline Corporation is seeking a Director of Safety to lead fleet safety initiatives in a DOT / FMCSA-regulated trucking environment. This role is safety-focused first, emphasizing accident prevention, driver behavior, and the effective use of safety technology. The position works closely with Maintenance, Compliance, Operations, and Risk Management to drive measurable safety improvements. Responsibilities Lead and execute fleet safety programs focused on preventable accident reduction Conduct accident investigations and root cause analysis Implement corrective actions, driver coaching, and retraining Oversee driver safety training Manage and optimize on-board camera systems (e.g., Netradyne) Manage ELD platforms (e.g., Platform Science) Partner with Maintenance on equipment-related safety trends Partner with Compliance on HOS and DOT safety readiness Requirement Qualifications 5+ years of fleet safety experience in a DOT / FMCSA-regulated environment Strong knowledge of FMCSA safety regulations Experience with on-board cameras and ELD systems Strong communication and coaching skills Preferred Qualifications Prior Safety Manager or Director of Safety experience CDL background preferred Bachelor's degree in any field Truline Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
