An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Director is responsible for directing the strategic approach to managing the environmental impact of an organization on the surrounding area. Responsible for ensuring that the organization has a systematic approach to complying with environmental regulations, such as managing waste or air emissions. Will liaise with directors of other sections of the organization to ensure that strategic goals align with those of the environmental health and safety team.

The EHS Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across Altenloh, Brinck & Co. U.S. manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving programs that protect employees, contractors, facilities, and the environment while ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Manager partners closely with operations leadership to drive a proactive safety culture, reduce risk, and integrate safety and environmental responsibility into daily manufacturing activities. This role leads efforts to prevent incidents, strengthen hazard awareness, and ensure sustainable compliance across all facilities. Safety Leadership & Culture:
Lead the development and implementation of company-wide safety programs and initiatives that drive a proactive safety culture Partner with operations leadership to integrate safety expectations into daily manufacturing activities Promote employee engagement in safety through training, hazard awareness, and active participation in safety programs Monitor safety performance metrics and lead initiatives to reduce incidents, injuries and workplace hazards Ensure safety policies and procedures are consistently applied across all facilities Regulatory Compliance & Environmental Management Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations Maintain environmental compliance including air permits, water permits (NPDES and storm water), and required inspections and reporting Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies and respond to regulatory inquiries or inspections Maintain required documentation, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting Ensure accurate maintenance of

logs and other regulatory reporting requirements Risk Management & Incident Prevention Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for workplace incidents and near-miss events Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Conduct risk assessments for existing operations, new processes, and capital equipment installations Implement Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and other structured risk assessment tools to systematically identify and reduce hazards Develop contractor safety programs and ensure compliance with site safety requirements Engineering & Process Safety integration Partner with engineering and operations teams to incorporate safety into equipment design, capital projects, and process improvements Review engineering projects to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards including ISO 45001, ANSI, NFPA and other relevant standards Support implementation of electrical safety programs including ESWP, arc flash safety, and
NFPA 70E
compliance Ensure fire prevention and protection programs are properly maintained Health and Industrial Hygiene Monitor and manage industrial hygiene programs including exposure monitoring, ergonomic evaluations, and workplace health initiatives Provide guidance regarding workplace health risks and appropriate mitigation strategies Assist in administration of Workers?
