Looking for a long-term opportunity on one of the most recognizable construction projects in the country?

Sheakley is seeking an experienced Lead Safety Manager to support a major Google Data Center construction project in Lima, Ohio. This is an exceptional opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys being a visible leader in the field, partnering directly with project leadership, and driving safety excellence on a large-scale, multi-contractor construction site.

With a projected 3-4 year duration , this role offers rare project stability, consistent hours, and the opportunity to play a key leadership role throughout the lifecycle of a high-profile critical infrastructure project.

None Available Schedule Monday-Saturday 50-60 Hours Per Week Day Shift Project Scope This position supports construction activities associated with a major data center development, including: Large-diameter pipe installation Excavation and trenching operations Crane and rigging activities Heavy equipment movement Hot work operations Utility construction activities Multi-contractor coordination and oversight
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Lead daily safety oversight across active construction operations Conduct field audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify risks before incidents occur Monitor OSHA compliance and enforce project-specific safety requirements Support excavation, trenching, utility, and pipe installation activities Oversee crane operations, rigging activities, critical lifts, and heavy equipment movement Review hot work permits and ensure proper fire prevention controls are implemented Deliver orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training for employees and subcontractors Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses while driving corrective actions to completion Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, reports, and compliance tracking Partner with project leadership to foster a proactive, field-driven safety culture
WHAT YOU NEED OSHA 30
Certification (Required) 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, utility, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and regulatory compliance Experience with excavation, trenching, underground utilities, or pipe installation activities Understanding of crane safety, rigging operations, and heavy equipment hazards Experience managing hot work activities and permit systems Strong communication skills and leadership presence in the field Ability to work 50-60 hours per week, Monday through Saturday Available to start
