Food Safety and Quality Manager (Dairy Manufacturing)

Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Position Summary The Food Safety and Quality Manager oversees all food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, laboratory operations, and employee training programs. This position ensures compliance with food safety regulations while supporting product quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Maintain and oversee Food Safety Plans, SOPs, quality programs, and documentation Ensure compliance with FDA, state, local, and company food safety requirements Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits Serve as the primary contact during external audits and inspections Manage food safety, GMP, quality, and compliance training programs Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions Perform microbiological, allergen, environmental, and quality testing Monitor plant sanitation, product quality, and regulatory compliance Maintain laboratory records, equipment calibration, and testing data Manage nonconforming products and root cause investigations Order laboratory supplies and maintain laboratory organization Partner with production and farm operations to support quality improvement initiatives Promote a strong food safety culture throughout the facility Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Food Science, Dairy Manufacturing, or related field preferred Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred HACCP, GFSI, and/or PCQI experience preferred Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs.
