When necessary, external candidates will be reviewed to ensure the best fit for the role and business needs." ‎ Under the general direction of the CL QSHE Manager, the AWS Safety Lead independently supports the site health and safety program, applying professional judgment to manage risk, compliance, and employee competency. The role leads training, audits, investigations, and corrective actions, with authority to stop work when controls are inadequate. How you create impact Independently administer site health and safety programs and support implementation of company, customer, and applicable regulatory requirements. Interpret safety requirements, evaluate operational risk, and provide functional guidance and recommendations to site leadership and employees. Assess operational risk, establish controls, provide safety guidance, and exercise stop-work authority when needed. Design and deliver safety, MHE, and SOP training, including onboarding, refresher training, coaching, and competency validation. Lead investigations, RCA, audits, inspections, and corrective actions through effective closure. Plan and conduct audits, inspections, and assessments; evaluate findings and prioritize actions. Analyze safety trends and metrics, recommend improvements, and coordinate actions with Operations, QSHE, HR, contractors, and customers. What we would like you to bring 3+ years of safety, training, or operational risk experience in a warehouse or industrial environment. Working knowledge of OSHA, risk assessment, investigations, RCA, and safety reporting Strong independent judgment, leadership, coaching, communication, and analytical skills. MHE safety experience required; crane, rigging, lifting, or related credentials preferred.
