This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific and company-wide safety programs. Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance. Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Facilitate safety orientations for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors. Conduct ongoing safety training, toolbox talks, and educational programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations, as well as company safety policies. Review of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site-specific safety plans. Monitor and document safety performance metrics, trends, and corrective actions. Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to proactively address safety concerns. Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs, as applicable. Maintain records of inspections, incidents, training, and regulatory reporting requirements. Participate in project planning meetings to identify and mitigate potential safety risks before work begins. Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections and investigations. Support emergency preparedness planning and response activities. Recommend improvements to safety policies, procedures, and best practices. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial, industrial, heavy civil, or specialty construction environments. Equivalent combination of education and construction safety experience may be considered. Experience conducting safety audits, investigations, and training programs. Knowledge of construction means, methods, and field operations.

Certifications Preferred certifications:

OSHA 500 or

OSHA 510 CHST

(Construction Health and Safety Technician) ASP/CSP (Certified Safety Professional) First Aid/CPR/AED Certification OSHA 30-Hour Construction Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Strong leadership and relationship-building skills. Ability to influence safe behaviors across all levels of the organization. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software. Ability to prepare reports, analyze trends, and develop corrective action plans. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in working with OSHA and regulatory agencies.
