Job Summary C&B Transportation is seeking an organized and dependable Safety Assitant to support the daily safety and compliance operations of our transportation fleet. requirements are consistently followed. Responsibilities Manage Samsara , including creating and maintaining driver accounts and assisting drivers with the platform. Review DVIR/pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily and follow up on missing or incomplete reports. Conduct weekly reviews of CDLs/driver's licenses and DOT medical cards , tracking expiration dates and ensuring documents remain current. Monitor driver safety events, including mobile-device use, seat-belt violations, speeding, and inattentive driving . Maintain accurate and organized driver safety and compliance records. Assist with new-driver onboarding , safety procedures, and compliance requirements. Communicate with drivers and supervisors regarding safety concerns, missing documentation, and required corrective actions. Escalate repeated or serious safety violations to the Safety & Compliance Manager. Assist with additional fleet safety and

compliance responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Previous experience or working knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry is required. Previous fleet safety, DOT compliance, or transportation safety experience is preferred, but not required . Familiarity with

DOT/FMCSA

regulations is preferred. Experience with Samsara or similar fleet-management software is a plus. General understanding of commercial vehicles, driver operations, and transportation safety requirements. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills. Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, professional, and able to work independently. The right candidate should be someone the Safety & Compliance Manager can rely on to stay on top of daily responsibilities, communicate with drivers and supervisors, and help keep our operation safe, organized, and compliant throughout the winter season and beyond.

Pay:
