Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our organization's commitment to workplace safety, environmental compliance, and employee well-being. Duties Develop and maintain robust environmental health and safety policies aligned with local, state, federal regulations, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other relevant standards. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify risks and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed report writing, and recommend preventative measures to mitigate future occurrences. Oversee hazardous materials regulations compliance, ensuring proper handling, storage, disposal, and documentation of hazardous substances in accordance with environmental management systems. Coordinate workplace safety training programs covering OSHA standards, first aid procedures, CPR certification, workers' compensation law awareness, and environmental health practices for all employees. Monitor environmental regulatory compliance standards in production environments to ensure adherence to legal requirements related to environmental management systems and environmental health. Manage workers' compensation claims process by collaborating with insurance providers and legal teams while promoting injury prevention strategies across the organization. Skills Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, hazardous materials regulations, EPA standards, and environmental compliance requirements. Strong expertise in occupational health principles with a focus on employee health (regulatory compliance standards) and workplace safety best practices. Proven ability to develop effective training & development programs that enhance employee awareness of safety protocols. Excellent report writing skills for incident reports, audit findings, and regulatory documentation. Skilled in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues contributing to safety incidents or environmental non-compliance. Experience managing environmental management systems (EMS) to ensure ongoing compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Ability to lead cross-functional teams in fostering a culture of safety excellence while maintaining regulatory/legal compliance standards in production settings.
