A leading American contractor is seeking a Safety Specialist to support a their team in the Philadelphia area. This is a permanent opportunity offering the chance to work on a high-profile project while playing a key role in maintaining strong safety standards across the site. The position will work closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and field teams to drive safety performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture. What's on Offer Competitive salary of $75,000 - $85,000 Permanent position with a well-established contractor Opportunity to work on a major civil engineering projects Comprehensive healthcare and benefits package 401(k) matching Paid time off Significant career progression opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunity to develop within a growing organisation Key Responsibilities Support the implementation of site health and safety programmes Partner with project leadership and field teams to maintain high safety standards Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments Monitor compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements Assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and employee coaching Build strong relationships with employees, subcontractors, and project leadership Monitor safety performance and identify opportunities for improvement Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across the project What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related discipline preferred 0-3 years of EHS/Safety experience within construction OSHA 30 required; ASP, CSP, or similar certification preferred Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work effectively with field teams and project leadership
