EHS manager Black Box United States, Texas, Plano 2701 Dallas Parkway (Show on map) Aug 04, 2026 Black Box is expanding our national data center footprint - andwe'researching for a dynamicProject Safety Managerwho is ready to take charge infast pacedhigh-stakesconstruction environments. This is a critical, onsite leadership role responsible for steering all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) operations, building a proactive safety culture, and ensuring every project team returns home safely every day. As part of ourmobile data center workforce,you'lltrain at our Plano, TX headquarters, then deploy to major data center projects across the U.S. to elevate safety performance, mentor teams, and represent Black Box's uncompromising commitment to safety excellence. WhatYou'llLead Be the Safety Leader Everyone Trusts Work directly with Site Leadership daily to drive a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory standards. Act as the onsite authority for EHS activities: inspections, audits, daily walks, toolbox talks, andreal-timerisk mitigation. Maintain a visible, engaged presence - modeling what "Safety First" looks like in action. Develop & CoachHigh PerformingSafety Teams Lead and mentor EHS Specialists and Safety Coordinators, including delegating tasks, scheduling, and developing talent. Deliver impactful onboarding, training, and safety coaching for field staff, subcontractors, and visitors. DriveHigh-qualityIncident Prevention & Response Lead incident investigations, conductroot causeanalysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions. Champion continuous improvement practices that reduce risk, prevent reoccurrence, and strengthen site performance. Elevate EHS Operations & Communication Serve as the communication bridge between Corporate EHS, site teams, subcontractors, and client partners. Manage all EHS documentation, SDS inventories, metrics, and reporting cadence to the EHS Program Manager. Review and refine EHS processes, procedures, and forms - ensuring projects stay aligned with corporate standards. Build a Strong Safety Culture Across the U.S. As a mobile workforce leader, travel to new data center locations and help accelerate the growth of Black Box's national safety program. Bring consistency, leadership, and proactive safety management to every new project site. What Success Looks Like You will thrive in this role if you bring: Exceptional leadership, coaching, mentoring, and teambuilding abilities. A deep understanding of OSHA standards, construction safety regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication skills, with the presence to influence at every level - from frontline workers to senior executives. Strongconflict resolutioncapabilities and the confidence to manage competing priorities infast-movingenvironments. Outstanding analytical skills, withexpertisein incident investigations, RCAs, and hazard mitigation. The ability to create structure, build processes, implement improvements, and drive consistent EHS performance. A positive, resilient attitude - thriving under pressure and adaptingwithprofessionalism. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safetyor related field or a BCSP Certification (such as CSP, ASP, CHST or OHST). 8+ yearsof progressive EHS leadership experience in the construction industry. OSHA 30required;OSHA 500/510strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Extensivehands-onexperience with inspections, incident investigations, process safety, contractor safety, and safety training. Proficiencywith Microsoft Office, MS 365, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and digital reporting systems. Ability to travel nationwide as part of a mobile deployment team supporting largescale data center construction.
